Catalytic converter for a NB
I need to replace my cat and I had a quick question.
Will something like this work with my car? https://www.jegs.com/i/Flowmaster/38...xoCs5kQAvD_BwE In the description of it it says it is for pre-obd2 cars but I’m wondering why won’t it work for a obd2 car? Isn’t it just a cat? I have the o2 sensors before and after the cat on the mid pipe. So will I run into any problems and get a check engine light if I were to use this? |

The EPA regulations are stricter for post-1995 vehicles in terms of the performance and durability of aftermarket catalytic converters. So, most likely the manufacturer didn't bother trying to get this unit EPA certified for OBD-II vehicles, because they know it wouldn't pass. Would it work if you installed it on your car? Probably, at least to some extent. |

It doesn't look like much of one, judging by the dimensions. That is a teeny, tiny little core.

There’s no visual inspections or anything else where I live, they just hook the computer up to my car and that’s it. |
