Default Spec miata hartop brackets

anyone know where I can buy a set of these?

Was thinking about using them in the spring and fall when I leave the hardtop on. The clamps always seem to get loose overtime and it's a pain in the *** to keep adjusting them. Will them reinstall the clamps in the summer months when I'm running the softtop.

Saferacer, Pegasus, Racer Parts Wholesale, etc. You really could have just googled this.

I used to have a set of saferacers. Im not a big fan of them, i never really felt the tightness the oem latches gave me. Now for security reasons, this is not a bad idea.

Lol, this place is great.

Looks like its between the rennenmetal or mazdaspeed.

So who else has used these, **** if they don't hold the top down at least as tight as the clamps then there is no point in doing this.

The soft top clamps work fine but for some reason I run out of adjustment on the front hard top clamps. And even when I get everything all adjusted and snug fitting, it always seems to needs adjusting every so often.

Would rather spend the extra time in the spring and fall to put on the brackets than having to make small adjustments every couple of weeks.

I have small bit of paper folded into a tiny rectangle wedged into the front driver's latch to take up the slack. Works good, a bit ghetto but no one can see it.

Can't you just adjust the latch?

Thats what he's been saying, he doesn't want to adjust it all the time, a problem I've never heard of. I adjusted mine a little tighter a few years ago and its been good ever since, at least I haven't noticed a difference since then.

Oh I was talking about kotomile, but I would imagine if the stock latches keep loosening, some blue loc-tite should do the trick.

Most that I have seen have required modification (twist, bend) to work correctly. As a result, I'd advise people to just save the money and fab up your own, since you're doing some bending either way, the only extra work making your own is a bit of cutting and a few holes drilled, which for some reason intimidates some people, and intimidates so many people so much that places can charge $50+ for these things.

At $85, they damn well better be perfect. Maybe even gold-plated.
