I would buy some flick fuels but i can't seem to find them anymore but here is a start on wheel shopping IMO rpf1';s are awsome but expensive tanabi hanabis look decent and are stated as light but i

I go with Azenies cause I get them for 300$....But my next set will be RS2's cause i can get them in 225/45/r15's....
really depends on what you want outta your tire though. I hate sloppy tires and I hate loud gripless tires....So I have limited options.....but you really cant get better then 300$ for near R comp grip tires.so I say go with 615's for grip or go RS2's for longer life.. everything else so far has disappointed me greatly on some level......

I say go with the Helliums...I have had mine for almost 2 years now and Have being very pleased. Cheap, light and tough...but maybe i got a well made set
Reason I say tough is about a year ago i got forced into a curb on a double left hand turn. to say the least it bent my front drivers side A-arms and tweaked my front and rear left rim a bit. but they still balance out and they hold up to all the stress I put them under.....and even if one happens to break I can pick a replacement one up for less then 70$ now.......cant get a lighter rim for cheaper........
If I had my choice at the time I woulda gone with the Rays TE-037....but at around 300 bucks per rim (at the time)...I was all over the Koniegs (400$ all 4 out the door)....

The Kumho SPT are much longer lasting than Azenis / RS2 class tires. They are in the ES100 class of grip, but are much quieter and smoother, and with much better wet grip, and seem to last longer. They also seem to hold up pretty well to autox abuse even at full tread.
They are much better than Direzzas too, IMO.
Re: rims - buy used!!! That way you can buy fairly light rims like Oz Superleggeras, or Rota Circuit 8's, Slipstreams, or their other lightweight model.

Assuming Tom is using these year 'round, keep in mind we see temps below 30 for much of the Dec/Jan/Feb months.

Best way to get a good deal is buy some used wheels locally. Check out the Honda forums too for the same offset. You could score some decent wheels/tires used for what you'd pay for tires only shipped and then mounted on those god-awful wheels you've got now.
Hell, you could pick these up and run the Azenis til they're done and it gets cold, then upgrade to a better tire:

My sis' bf cracked a one a long time ago, and another guy cracked one at a track day in dallas back in june. Both were cracked at the racetrack sporting ra-1's.
