Default cheap source for mild steel resonator??

As title states, looking for a non-stainless resonator 18in long or similar on the cheap.

dynomax race mufflers are what I like. dont know if they meet "cheap" criteria though at $45ish.

The price is great but can I weld stainless together with mild steel using my 90 amp HF welder?

Be sure to check out performancepeddler.com for resonator pricing. They are pretty cheap if you all them up and make them 'an offer'.

I just installed mine and will be using some of these lap joint band clamps to secure.
