Default Can I safely run 225/15's on 15x7's?

Simple as that... would it be better than 205/50/15's?

Basically track day this saturday, not getting new wheels right now.

My options are 205/50/15 Kumho XS's or 225/45/15 RS-3's...

Quick replies needed as I need to order these today

I heard that the turn in isn't as crisp with a 225 on a 7", is it faster...probably.

It will be another $100, and I'm abotu to move where there are no tracks... IDK if I can justify using 225 on the 15x7's, when in the future I'll justget 6ul 15x9's... sigh.
