My guess is GC/Koni Yellows?

I bought Eibach coilovers and dropped the height 3.5 inches

Tires were tucked! Looked like a gocart with fenders!

I wouldn't slam a miata without something like Olins or something that dramatically increase the suspension travel. otherwise riding on the bumpstops = installing rubar for shocks.

yea, the stance,d2,ksports will get you inexpensive shock body type lowering. Tein Flex's and Ohlins will cost more but you get more R&D and Quality Control. It's all about application, $$ and expectations.

looks nice but needs less camber, and yes i am in no way contributing to this thread because i know nothing of suspension, but if you go too low won't you also be looking for different lower control arms?

Well I dont think my car is slamed but the ride heights are 11.5" in the front and 12" in the back (measuring from the center of the wheels to the fenders).
I have konis with GC coilovers (6" long in the front and 7" in the back). If you dont plan on going too low I'll suggest to get the 7" long ones, 8" wont lower your car much even with the perches all the way in the bottom.
You can use the Mazdaspeed shock mounts for an additional ~3/4" travel.

And as far as I know Stances will let you drop a miata the lowest, I know I have them, great coilovers, I love them.

As much as I bag on Tein Flex for being too short... If you really want to slam your ride, you should buy my Tein Flex (on the parts for sale forum). They have shortened shock bodies, with shock length adjustable separate from the lower spring perch. Run 'em with stock 7/6 rates, or bump 'em up to 9/6 or 9/7 (mine come with springs for all 3 options) to stay off the bump stops a little more. And if you tell me what ride height you want (wheel center to fender), I'll even set 'em up for that height so when you un-box 'em, all you have to do is bolt 'em on.

I hear flexes go pretty low, it all depends on what you want. Monotube stances should give you better "performance" but if you just want to be low flexes would work just fine I think.

Surprised no one has mentioned JIC FLT-A2s.

As far as I know, these allow the car to be lowered the most out of all of the coilovers out there, as the rear hats add like 3" or 4" of suspension travel. I daily drove mine with 10.5" from center of hub to fender for a while, never really hit bump stops (possibly due to me not having them adjusted correctly at the time :)). Bottomed out a lot though (3.5" of ground clearance.. I really don't recommend it.. Especially on Illinois roads haha). I don't have any experience with Ohlins, do those add travel?

I got my JICs on sale at 1600 i think. But like cjernigan said, you can probobly find them used for cheap. They are great as long as they wont see road salt. Mine saw a few weeks of winter, and it corroded them pretty good.

Must be nice to live in an area where your taxes pay for roadwork. I'd bottom out (the bottom of the car, not suspension) on %75 of the DC/Baltimore/any area inbetween) roads here lower than I am now. Probably about 12/12.5 inches on myFatcat setup. Pot holes from overuse of roadsalt, metal plates from construction, and all out crappy roads. Aside from I-95 between DC-Balt, I don't think a road has been repaved for 20 years.

i suggest you have someone sit on your fenders and do the same measurement...

Depending on what part of hawaii you go to, everything is a hill with infinite steep driveways. Better get a 4x4 too so you can go to the good beaches.

Not tall enough. Too gayz too. Everyone in hawaii jacks their 4x4 up. When i said 4wd i mean 4wd, not awd. Jacked up wrangler would be better suited and accepted there. Houle's are not always welcomed in hawaii.

I like the ride of the HSE, had it for a week when the rx-8 was stuck in the driveway because of snow (my neighbor let me use his and he took a car from work).

Probably because I think that I'll go offroading like once or twice a year. But after I think about it even more, the Wrangler is better, because if I get it done really nicely it will look good on the street and I still have the Miata for streets and I will be able to take the jeep for heavy off-road action.

So, what kind of "stuff" should I put on a wrangler in order to make it off road worthy?
