Convert manual to OEM power locks
Ok so check this out:
I have two Miatas. One with power locks and one without. The one with power locks is essentially a parts car. The power locks work. I want to take the components out of this Miata and swap them into the other Miata so that the new Miata has power locks. What parts would I need to pull? I imagine the door cards, switches, actuators, and perhaps some lock controller is necessary. What about wiring? Were all Miatas pre-wired for everything, or are there differences in the body harness? |
Anyone?

Be aware that the OEM system is really more "power lock" than plural. It's only got an actuator in the passenger door, and it just copies whatever the driver's door does.
No idea about the wiring, sorry. --Ian |
I understand if you don't want to spend the money, but a new central locking kit would be a better option in my opinion.
