Coolant reroute w/o heater core.

I currently run no heater core in my car. Im wanting to do the typical coolant reroute with the thermostat located at the rear of the head. Would it be ok to not run the line that would normally go to the heater core alltogether? This would mean no coolant flow till the thermostat opens correct?

I cant run the line to the mixing manifold because of my low mount turbo setup. So the line from back of head would be simply going back into the upper radiator hose again.

Sure. Do it.
And overheat just like p51shellfire

That would mean you'd always have water going through the radiator. This would make your warm up time very long. I ran this setup for a couple months, and with a piece of cardboard blocking the entire radiator I couldn't get past 140*.

You also shouldn't run without any flow, as some spots will run too hot, and cause damage, even in the few minutes it takes to warm up enough to open the thermostat.

Run the coolant line from the back of the head, underneath the intake manifold, across the front of the engine, and T it into the lower radiator hose.
