coolant sensor or fan switch?
I have a '90 miata and on top of the thermostat housing there is either a sensor or switch that broke in half(don't ask:noob:). It has a 1-prong connector in the top of it but i lost that part(again, don't ask) so I don't know what it's called, help me out?

:werd: thermoswitch - dig into the switch top and find the lead, then solder a wire to it, and use a spade connector to connect the two wires.

N350-18-840, US dealer retail $45. No idea what it goes for in Canada, but as their typical custom, I'd expect a fair bit more.

I paid about 15$ for mine at an auto parts store, and yes its the thermo switch for the fans, when i got my car i never knew why my fans wouldn't go on lol, dont go to dealership they are a rip off try napa autoparts
|
lol same deal with mine the car came to me with no fans working unless i jumped the leads in the diagnostic box... actually only one came on so i guess i'm gonna have to replace that other motor... but yea $65 at mazda i checked canadian tire and we didn't carry and napa not in stock so i just figured i'd go today.

Another source for a part like that is at the Hyundai dealership. They use the Mazda motors in some of their cars and the parts are sometimes cheaper.
