COP concerns for a UK n00b

First of all, Hello :)
I wish to convert to COP and have everything except the connector to the COP which may go the Tyco route with. I took the wiring diagram and re-hashed it in the wire colours I have as well diagrams for both COP and Ignitor to help myself plough through.
I then noticed the 10,00uF capacitor on the ground and 12v lines that are no where to be seen on the diagram.
Is this because they are ignitor side doing all four coils or one per coil?
What is 10,00uF? Is it 1000uF which would actually be 1mF or is it a miss type and actually 10,000uF or perhaps you guys being so far ahead of us yolks in the UK you may have found a better value for the capacitor.
Any help would be fantastic with my muppetry.
Thanks
Ritch

It's really quite simple.

You want to place a large capacitor between the wire that supplies +12 to the COPs and the wire that provides ground to the COPs. One cap will suffice for all four.

In this configuration, the igniter is removed, so there is no more "igniter side" vs. "coil side", however you want the capacitor to be reasonably close to the coils, as the whole point of it is to overcome voltage drop across long leads.

Yes, folks have in fact been using 10,000uf. Personally, I couldn't find one that size locally, so I used two 4,700uf caps in parallel (eg: the + leads of both tied together, and the - leads of both tied together.)

Ok so here is my daft diagram for your laughter. Just out of interest is the resistor for MS users because the voltage needs to be lower.

the 1k resistor is technically for standalone ECU users only.

It's better put in the diagnostics box, jumping B+ and IG-

Well I have a standalone. I'm running an Emerald K3 ECU so I'll change my muppet diagram.
