Corbeau Forza seats.

Does anyone have any experience with the Corbeau Forza Seats?

I wanted to pick up a pair of them. I kinda realized it was silly to buy a reclinable seat if you can barely recline the stock seats. The Forza seems like a good buy?

I would like to get the black ones tho

I like mine alot, but unfortunately the wear patch on the drivers side did just that.... it's all ripped from me getting in and out, looks like shit

cjernigan 08-07-2007 05:56 PM

That wear patch problem is a common accurance with those corbeaus when i was researching seats. Everyone says that patch wears out fast.

Looks pretty nice in the car

Yea I figured the seats would wear out there, if you think about it its not like you plop down you kind of need a 'hand' in.

I have the Clubmans, I like them a lot. The wings would be a little uncomfortable for me and I barely fit in the Clubmans, but that's a feature :) .

I also got the Corbeau brackets for Miata, which I had to modify to fit... i.e. Grind, test, grind, test, grind, test. I also got a snap-off steering wheel system because the extra bolstering on the sport seats make getting in and out a huge ordeal. Come to find, a smaller diameter steering wheel did the trick but having the snap off makes it that much more secure for me.... even though the car is garaged.

Firedog, would you be able to take a picture of the clubmans in your car?

Nothing a folded up dish towel can't prevent. Just remove the towel before any hot dates. :ky:

cjernigan 08-07-2007 08:15 PM

Personally i make sure i take a towel with me on hot dates for other reasons. Beats the hell out of wiping off on your seats.

cjernigan 08-07-2007 08:15 PM

I like the momo starts and he sparco speeds, they're all in the same class it seems. Savington seems to really like his momo starts.

Off topic, but isn't that what panties are for? :rly:

cjernigan 08-07-2007 08:27 PM

Girls wear panties?

i have a pair of forza seats. i like them, they work for me, and the price was right. however, i must say i would probably look into something a bit more narrower if i were to do it again. excessive width causes too much rubbing on door panel.

hustler 08-07-2007 10:47 PM

they're a motherfucker to climb in and out of. I would not put them in my daily.

SOL General 08-07-2007 10:50 PM

Has anyone sat in all 3 (speed, start and forza)? Which would be the most comfortable for long distance driving.

neogenesis2004 08-07-2007 10:56 PM

anyone know of any wide version seats that have been verified to fit in the miata? I need one for me, I can just stick a standard one in the passenger space.

sickmint79 10-06-2007 07:15 PM

if anyone needs a drivers side corbeau mounting bracket him me up... mike at developer10 dizz0t com

Philip 10-06-2007 07:47 PM

the wings hit the door sill, so if you're tall they don't go all the way back

drewbroo 10-06-2007 08:27 PM

I just installed a pair in a Friends NB. Make sure you have a BFH present if you are using a stock seatbelt setup, the brackets make it a pain in the ass.

It must get lonely up there in the frozen north.

Check the "homepage" part under my name.

rollin904 10-07-2007 12:37 PM

I had the clubmans originally but sold those to get the Forza's. They fit much better imo, except that I can't recline or scoot my seat back since the top of the seat hits my rollbar. I'll eventually get a smaller steering wheel to accompany my lanky legs but I'm too lazy right now.

Milton Tucker 10-07-2007 01:09 PM

My ass is too wide for the Forza. I have one that’s never been sat in; I attempted to sit in it, but no dice. I consider it incentive to lose weight :ugh2:

Zabac 10-08-2007 10:26 AM

haha...the forza two is known to fit in the miata and to house a bigger ass...
i have the forza one...review: more comfortable on longer drives, a little bit harder to get in and out, not much...fit good, does not rub the door panel, but i dont know how it would work with the hard top mounting brackets if they were present...overall, great seat for the money, i got mine for $220 with rail through a friend here locally, but he no longer works at the same place, so no more discounts...Gl looking around, ask for discount wherever you shop, you just may get it

pete 06-06-2012 02:57 PM

anyone have any idea on the fit for tallish people? I'm 5'11" and am looking to not crack my head on my roll bar in the event of a rear-end collision. Might go into HPDE and I want to be able to pass with a helmet.

I was looking for a side-mount seat, but these popped up on CL for a decent price/pair and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger.
