Cutting bumpstops

I have Tein SS coilovers and just raised my car fron 12" to ~12.5" in the front and OMG I must have been on the bumpstops waaay too often because just this little bit of extra height has transformed the ride.

Looking at the tiny bit of travel that the car has got me thinking, if I just cut the bumpstop a little I could get even more travel. But then I also got to thinking how most bumpstops are progressive and cutting a part off of one may result in bone shattering bumps when I do hit what is left of the bumpstop.

I know I should just get some FCM ones, but I am feeling lazy and poor right now and don't feel like pulling all of the suspension off of my car just for that.

So has anyone ever cut the tein bumpstops that come with SS/basic, and I would assume flex? Anyone ever heard of people doing this?

Dont need to cut them on the flex, you can adjust the travel range with the shock length.

You have stock NA mounts on this right? NB mounts would help.

Nope I have NB mounts on the car, and I was contemplating some ISC, but for now I just want to see what else I can do for some more travel.

I guess stiffer springs would also keep me off of the bumpstops, and I an not that fond of the 330r/390f tein setup this came with, maybe get something stiffer up front.

So nobody has heard of cutting the tein bumpstops on SS/Basics? Do I really have to go and get FCM 36mm?
