Default Other than 949racing, are there lightweight 15x8 wheels anywhere?

I was going to order a set of Volk wheels for the NT01s coming, but it appears I can't get anything wider than 15x7.5. Emilio's wheels, as well as his tech and customer support, are awesome, but I was hoping to find lighter wheels. I'm running on 9 lb Volk CE28s now, 15x7, but I want the 8" width. Are there any wheel manufacturers/dealers that someone can point me towards that may be able to help. Thanks.

a lot of the JDM wheel companies make any size you want... they're just hard to get ahold of.

try these guys for example:
http://www.gruppe-s.com/Wheels/wheelspage.htm
They list some Volks and Japanese SSR in 15x8 sizes.

The quality doesn't compare but sport maxx wheels are 15x8's, but they are also 0 offset. Im not sure about the weight comparison either.

There are alot of options, even some made in the USA, depends on how much you want to spend for a wheel.

Thanks for the link, Matt. I looked through it and the Volks in the types I want don't offer the 8" wheel with the correct offset. The SSRs don't have the right offset, either.

Seems that an 8" to 8.5" wide wheel with around 36-40mm offset would allow the tire to fit in the wheelwell without much rubbing issues, so that's what I was shooting for. 0 offset, makes me think of some kind of lowrider with the wheels sticking all the way out of the fender, nevermind the additional weight and scrub issues.

At one time you could get Kosei K1s in a 15x8 +32 and they are pretty darn light as well. What about Rota, do they not make any?

Ask Brian Goodwin (Goodwin Racing) if he is expecting more 15x8 A/T/S DTC wheels to come in. Theyre good quality german made alloy wheels that Brian imports.

diamond wheels are not that light, but they are dirt cheap (considering)
i hope emilio comes through with some light cheap 15X10 in the future...but the 15X8 would work for now

I hope he does too. He said he was going to make some 15x10s but the widest he's getting is 15x9 for now.

Slips aren't lighter than the 6ULs. The Koseis might be lighter. I know the ATC wheels Goodwin sells are not lighter. I believe you can still get Koseis through Tire Rack, but they are a custom re-drill to 4x100.

Without spending some serious coin, you aren't going to find a wheel lighter than a 6UL. Emilio did say that he could have made his wheels lighter, but he chose not to. There is only one bent 6UL that I know of, from BikeInDirt's car, and he dropped it into a 6" pothole at race-speeds. It was pretty bent, but it still held air. BID bent all 4 of the Kosei K1s he was running before he went to 6ULs.

Yea, looks like Emilio's wheels or custom 2-piece units. Thanks all.
