Everyone knows that you need a civic with green neons and $10k worth of overnight parts from Japan to get under a semi.
These cars seem to hold up awesome.

HUGE thanks for the link to that site. I never heard of it before, but I am now the proud owner of a set of used Tein Flexes thanks to it.

Bullshit, he was trying to perform a scene from Fast and the Furious.

A set of door bars and a roll bar would have helped...

samnavy 07-01-2009 01:14 AM

That's what happens when you buy an automatic Miata and put wheels that ugly on it... karma.

miatamania 07-01-2009 01:19 AM

Against a semi? Not much.

NA6C-Guy 07-01-2009 01:52 AM

I do that daily for fun. Big deal...

Seriously though, that is pretty awesome that he wasn't all that hurt from it.

The funny thing is that I did the same thing 5 years ago when I was 18. I just started dating this girl and we went out on a Thursday night, a couple of drinks and we went back to my house and pulled an all nighter. Next thing I know, it's Friday morning so I start driving to work and I fell as sleep. I open my eyes and I'm heading towards a 18 wheeler, BAM! Right into the back wheels of the truck. I spin out, do a 180 and hit it again with the back of my car. The truck driver kept driving! He didn't even feel my car hitting him. Lucky me I hit the wheel and didn't go under like that guy, but my car was totalled! Tear

You just need to find the right truck to go under.

ouch :(

Looking at the pics there is no way someone lived through that! Absolutely amazing.

My head doesn't spin around driving the Miata as much as riding a motorcycle but I'm much more alert in it vs. my wife's sport ute. I figure 5% of drivers won't see you regardless of what you drive. About 20% when you are on a bike. I figure a Miata falls somewhere in between.

Awestruck!

Could you imagine what that must have felt / sounded / looked like for the driver of that car?

Talking about your life flashing before your eyes!!
