Deatschwerks Injectors, fuel leak
 

I've had these injectors in and out a couple times without an issue, this time things did not work out. They are 700cc Injectors and it appears they have a brownish o-ring which looks good but there is a black ring behind it which is not good. Anyone have info, suggestion or insight into a fix?

I don't know anything about it but it LOOKS like you could use any ring that fits ie AutoZone o-ring kit...

Surely the injectors have a part number that can be used to cross-reference the correct o ring or "injector rebuild kit"

In a "lets try this" attempt, I removed the o-ring from the old stock injectors and put them on in place of the black torn ones in the picture. One injector went in VERY hard "fm fuel rail" and that one leaked, however, the others did not. It is my believe that perhaps new stock o-rings will work on the Deatschwerks injectors.

It's my understanding that o-rings have be a certain type to not break down in fuel, however, you could be right, autozone or advance may indeed have just the right size or kit.

Make sure you lube the o-rings when inserting. This will prevent tears and stuff.

Viton is the material you want for fuel resistance. Still, they are so small that even a small amount of resistance putting them in or pulling them out can pinch or tear one. When that happens, it's leak city and you are the mayor. It's a good idea to replace them with every install since they are super cheap. I have two sizes and I can mail you a set of each for $8.

Also, you should check the seat that fits on the bottom of the injector and seals the head. They should be free from knocks and tears, and have a nice rubbery feel. If they are hard or damaged they can cause vacuum leaks.

Do this and have 0 more headaches. It's 8 bucks and 0 more worries that anything will leak on the injectors. Nigelt helped me when I was having issues with o-rings and I haven't had an issue since. Great guy to buy from
