Default Not a Miata, But a miata Drivetrain with a KL Engine

I figure a few of you on this forum may be interested in this thread that I have been watching over the past 2 months: How-to: Probe RWD Conversion - ProbeTalk.com Forums

I'm interested to see it completed.

He really Loves his ford probes. I hope he chooses an awesome EMS to run the thing.

Owning a Probe myself for 7 years I can I can attest that they are great cars especially when boosted. I'm sure he will probably go with some form of Megasquirt being that it is the most widely used EMS for the Mazda KLDE Engines.

Peter, why spend your time trying to decide whether or not you would do the work, and if not, then why did they do it, etc, etc...? Spend your time just appreciating the accomplishment instead. In the end you'll get more from it. Sometimes there more to learn from the wacky stuff than the same old.

What a freeking ton of work. I guess if that's what he's into, go for it.

But not me.

Also if you're going to make bad welds, you shouldn't take pictures of them close up.

**** it. I like that guy, in the name of doing **** that use modding people don't do to OEM levels of quality that we really should, like seam sealer.

I think he missed a step of I missed reading it,

Step 17.5 extend miata PPF or make diff and trans mounts.

Just like we could just buy an S2000 instead of trying to make our gay little cars faster, I think it's cool this guy wants to go to the trouble of making a RWD Probe, which I agree in GT form was already an anally-raping fun car for its time, stock. At the rate he's going, he's sure to have a unique, fun-to-drive car once he's done. Respect.

Does anyone currently own a Probe who doesn't live in a trailer park?

This isn't his first RWD Probe, and his last two builds before this car were ******* insane.

Here's his old Probe:

323. Started with this:

Ended up with this:

The motor and drag slicks on the front drive wheels suggests it's not RWD. OR are you saying he's had other RWD probes and some other cool builds including this FWD drag probe?

That's not a Probe. It's a Hyundai Genesis converted to FWD. Why the **** not?!?!?

The latter. That car ran a 10.2 on low boost.
