Desperate need of help on my T2 trans swap.
 

Hi guys, first off sorry if I'm not posting in the right area for this, I'm new to posting in the forums.

​​​​​​I recently managed to find a deal on an RX7 turbo ii trans for my na miata and was planning to use the Maverick Motorsports adapter plate. Unfortunately it looks like they've been "out of stock" for quite a while and I think they've just stopped making it. I found a machine shop willing to make the part for a really decent price. I feel comfortable enough to make a template for him to work off of, but I still need the dimensional thickness and material used to make the adapter plate.
If anyone here has one or knows the thickness of the plate PLEASE let me know!

In for answers bc i was daydreaming about a T2 trans last week

Just found out my answer from a dm on reddit.
It's 3/8" aluminum. Unfortunately the threads can rip out quite easily due to it being such a thin plate of aluminum, so I think I'm going to have it made from steel or have steel threaded inserts added. Hope this saves you a few hours of searching and asking questions if you ever do the swap haha
