Det cans?
I am going to the dyno tomorrow and Saturday. I've been so caught up getting everything set on the car before then (1.8 diff, new clutch, new water pump etc.) that I forgot about making det cans to use at the dyno.
Savington's dyno thread shows/mentions det cans using 5/8" nylon tubing - one end clamped to a brass pipe that has a crushed end bolted to the block and then all he said about the other end was that it was attached to construction ear thingies. The hosing, copper pipe and all I can do but I'm not understanding how you "attach" the nylon hose to the ear covers... Can anyone shed some light on this... soon? Haha. Thanks -Ryan |
Drill a hole in one ear of the ear muffs, epoxy a piece of the copper tubing into the hole, and then attach hose to copper tubing.

Gotcha thanks. I'll buy the materials on the way to work tonight and put it all together in the morning.
