Deviate gets a K20A2

I don't know why others do similar routing. We needed a specific length and that was the only way to fit it in the engine bay. We'll pop a small hole in the cowl to feed the filter a small stream of ambient air under a wee bit of pressure. I like the area behind the headlights but we couldn't get to it at the right length without too many sharp bends to make it worthwhile.

Dynojet SAE corrected with 225/45/15 street tires on corn..I'd like to see 260whp but I'm expecting 245whp. John says he has seen a little over 300whp with the same basic engine on Church's Dynapack, which reads about 10% high. Then you have another ~10whp of drivetrain losses from a Honda to the NA. As always, I'm optimistic. In the end, it's just a number. The proof in the pudding will be how well we can get it to drive.
On a sorta related note, we have a long time customer with a race shop that wants a set of Xida ACE, our electronic shocks. Only one set was ever built, for Andy Hollis. The ACE valve takes up some space needed for stroke so I always wanted to build a longer set specifically for the Keisler drop spindles. So that is what we are doing. We'll build 3 sets, one for the American customer, one for a guy in Japan and one for OGK, which will be tested and tuned on Deviate.
Short version; Deviate will get some very cool suspension bits in the coming months. Yeah, should drive nice.

Emilio this is nothing short of amazing!
There are for sure quicker/cheaper ways to do a K-swap but this...this
is so cool.
P.S: If you ever decide you want to drive the 'Ring with it you can put it a container and ship it over here, we can keep it safe for you in a warm nice place together with other miatas!

Correct! Normally a lot of things go by -especially on busy weekends- but having seen my much milder car towed away by German police at the entrance of the Nordschleife I'd say no windscreen and big wing is probably a deal breaker(but then again their main problem was...non-stock headlights, cone air filter(!) and multiple colours on the exterior that was what got their attention originally).
That said if it still looks like a miata and has street tires usually it's okay. (Or you can slap a BMW or a Porsche badge because apparently then many more eyes turn the other way!)
Indeed it would make for a great vid. Cameras are here waiting and even the trails around the 'Ring are awesome for cycling(or that's what they say those of us that do cycle)!

Funny you should mention that. While out on a long training ride (bicycle) I had the notion that it would be cool to take it to the ring since it is basically road legal and would have E marked tires. Would be an epic video with the sequential even on a tourist or open lapping day. I'd much rather take the OGK when its done but I think I'd have a hard time getting it past the guard gate with the giant wing, no windshield, full cage etcetera.

Not using internal pump. That flat part of the oil pan in front of the steering rack is where the K-series oil pump normally lives, and is typically some 4" deeper than the top of the rack to accommodate. That's the whole reason for the KMiata double-sump setup and associated extended pickup tube...which is what John is avoiding the use of with the external setup.
