Default Diff rebuild

I've just purchased a Ashcroft LSD unit. It's basically a atb diff very similar to the torsen internals.

Could I assemble it into my diff housing then take it to a diff shop to have them set the backlash and stuff?

Or would they need to assemble it from scratch?

Just thinking it would be cheaper for me to assemble it then have them adjust it.

I would be stunned if they give you any discount for you installing it. Setting backlash is done during the installation process.
