I cleaned a cylinderhead in the dishwasher not too long ago, high temp/steam program. You should be fine.

Must have done it while mom was out of the house. Did you install a modified head or did you have a mechanical failure I wasn't aware of.

chicksdigmiatas 02-07-2010 05:27 PM

Lol, it took to long, I just wondered if it would work, and it did, I wont be doing it again. We can get old dishwashers and sell them to honduh ownerzzzz as automatic air filter cleaners.

Yeah I made sure she wasn't around:giggle:
It was that 1.6 head I was trying to port/polish/clean up. It's still half-finished tucked away in the shed, waiting for better weather and a test-mule car.

These work great for cleaning parts, just run it one time afterwords with soap and nothing in it.IMO.

I put my centre console in the dishwasher and it came out like new.

Reverend Greg 02-07-2010 06:20 PM

I put my turbo compressor in there, and etched the aluminum well enough to take powder coating.

Just don't let any woman see you doing that to their washer, that's the holy grail to them...:-/

chicksdigmiatas 02-07-2010 09:56 PM
