I'd give them a shot for $200. Might be good qualifying tires.

UrbanSoot 07-16-2008 04:25 PM

dude, just get some discontinued kooks for $360 shipped and call it a day.

jayc72 07-16-2008 04:26 PM

No I don't want to buy them. I can't imagine a tire choice for Autox that is worse. Just thought it funny he would market them as great for autocross.

Move on, nothing to see here ....

Don't know about drag oriented street tires, but good drag tires typically have softer sidewalls...bad for autoX.

"Thus, even if the g-Force T/A Drag Radial is available in a vehicle's ideal size for use in activities other than drag racing, it should not be used in competition where the car and tire will be exposed to extreme cornering loads or sustained high speeds."

The are 50 series. The sidewalls may be ok. As good as azenis, and they'd probably heat up really fast.

Pitlab77 07-16-2008 05:11 PM

still i would not get them for auto X. It has more to do with the compound and stiffness.

drag tires are like rubber bands that wrinkle and shoot you forward. You want stiff tires for autoX.

Even Road Race tries are POS for autoX due to compound.

Zabac 07-16-2008 06:29 PM

Those tires suck balls for auto-x!!! Period!
