dual feed fuel rail

hi just wondering are there any other dual feed fuel rails for the mx5/eunos/miata other than the flyin miata item(dont like purple) i currently using a modified standard rail with a fitting on the far end which works perfectly but i want a nice alloy one!!!

thanks lee

jayc72 03-11-2008 05:20 PM

Buy the one from FM and paint it black.

zarish 03-11-2008 05:21 PM

There used to be a Vishnu dual feed rail similiar to the home made one you currently have. Not sure if anyone else makes one other than the fm one. Why don't you just paint the one you have and make it look nice?? You can spend the $200 on something else like MS.

madmalc 03-11-2008 05:30 PM

ill get stung on import tax to the uk on the FM one also so it will work out at about £150+p&p and flyin miata charge uk customers first time for buying something

Zabac 03-11-2008 05:41 PM

i have seen some really nice writeups on how to make your own...i think TurboTim made one, and someone else had one out of stock AL, also real nice...
good luck

Won't this be the case no matter what? Tell you what, you buy the FM rail, get it shipped to my Canadian address. I'll send you my black Vishnu rail.

I don't care if it is purple or not :)

ArtieParty 03-11-2008 06:31 PM

Id get in touch with TurboTim and see what he and the shop can do for ya. theres even a rail listed on their website.

If this is for the 90-93, I have it on good info that there is a forum vendor that is about ready to release their fuel rails. :) Black Anodized, Factory FPR mount, dual feed via 3/8NPT connections, with a much larger internal volume than the factory unit. Just waiting on anodizing and engraving to finish before posting up.

What he said! :werd:

madmalc 03-12-2008 07:32 PM

the only way i can get away without payin import tax and vat is for the shop/person i bought it from to put 'item value $25 second hand car parts' i contacted FM and asked it they would do this for me but they wouldn't
its not the fact of how much it is if the fuel rail was £200 i would happily pay it but i object to payin import tax and vat for a item unavailable to the uk
i buy loads of stuff from america and all sellers are happy to put a low item value on the shipping info

if anybody has a 1.6 billet fuel rail and also a nice set of verinier pulleys forsale please let me know can pay through paypal if you send me a couple of picks

thanks lee

he said in another thread they will run about $100 for MT.net members. :)

TurboTim 03-13-2008 08:31 AM

For $100 you can't beat that. Still I would make one myself though, using available aluminum fuel rail stock and standard drill bit. But i also don't run the OEM FPR.

The chances of me making another tubular stainless fuel rail is maybe 2%. Definitely one of the harder things I've done. Now if I got smart and made jigs for my stuff, that'd be a different story.

Faeflora 03-13-2008 09:40 AM

The MT idol at FFS makes a rail but you'll need to weld (jb) on your own fittings. i tried to plug mine up with just screwed in barbs and it bled all over.

Saml01 03-13-2008 10:16 AM

Question.

Are these both dual feed fuel rails?

cjernigan 03-13-2008 10:28 AM

Those are basically the same thing with the intersection point at different places. I don't see how either way would cause problems unless the T fitting at the rail would not fit inside the intake area.

Lee 07-01-2008 06:34 PM

madmalc,
Try this site www.rossmachineracing.com
He sell all kinds of Extruded components for DIY EFI performace including 3 different size raw fuel rail.
Since he is the manufacturer he should know the ins and out of shipping

I don’t want to debate, but I and a few others that can read look at these threads for information.
Which can be added later. What were you looking at this old thread for?
Oh, make sure you make comment to “mkulak” because he added information too.

What are the rest of your credentials?

Since you asked, I like fast cars which is why all of us are here.

Well i believe the problem lies in the fact that it is so old that the person who posted it doesn't care one little bit about the information you added, so there is no point in adding it other than to make you feel special. You could go around adding tons of information to old threads but the original posters wont benefit at all.

Also you might want to make a signature and set a location if you plan on staying.

Newbs counseling newbs... What has this forum come to?

Duckie_uk 07-02-2008 05:59 AM

You make that sound like a bad thing. I'm sure we can rustle up some more 16 year old Malibu enthusiasts if you prefer. :bang:

..you want a fucking blowjob or something? I don't care what kind of information you want to add: Don't bump old-ass threads.

I'm sorry. In the future, feel free to go back as far as you want and dig up old threads so we can all feel nostalgic.

It's pretty obvious what happened here. You were using the search function (which I applaud) and came across a thread you figured you had some input to. But being so old, you forgot the interwebz wasn't invented yesterday and didn't check the date. Since I visit this forum several times per day, every day... I usually take a look at every single thread. But when I clicked on this thread, it was only about an hour after I'd last logged in and it struck me as odd that it had achieved 21 posts in that short timeframe. On a subject as common as this one, there's only really two reasons for that.

Either the OP has come back to HIS old thread to let us know his progress (which I am really interested in)... or some NOOB who didn't check the date while searching opened up an old post INSTEAD OF JUST PM'ing HIM! The former is highly encouraged while the latter deserves some ribbing.

And yes, clearly I have a lot of growing up to do. Welcome to mt.net:fawk:

As for mkulak. Well, he's also a little new, but I think his penis has started to regain shape after his initial "NOOB initiation" and it would be a shame to hinder his recovery at this point... I'm not that cruel. Plus he has a sense of humor and would totally get the joke... you don't and that's what makes it funny to me and everybody else on the board. Yes, we're laughing at your expense. Now, from here on out, get yourself some forum ettiquette and contribute in a useful manner or go visit clubroadster.net where they're really polite to NOOBs and will be really impressed about how long you've been a mechanic.

PS: No location in your profile, no "Hi Guys" introduction thread in the NOOB forum, and nothing in your signature=FAIL! Do you even own a Miata?

M-Tuned 07-02-2008 08:36 AM

Yeah.. I noticed after I posted how old the thread was.. Doh!

Pikespeakgtx 01-23-2009 02:03 AM

Lee thanks for the info on the Ross fuel rail extrusions. I may go that route.

I found this site from searching google to find a dual fed rail for my GTX.

Some old threads will never die! :fawk:

Is the ol' Vishnu rail still available?

1slowna 01-23-2009 05:01 AM

well although he did bump an old ass thread im not too mad at it cause that site will be very useful to alot of members.

y8s 01-23-2009 09:56 AM

the vishnu rail is not available anymore.

and FYI, you can still read old threads without posting a response that doesn't add information.

and 1slowna, your post is even more worthless. please see the urban dictionary entry for "post whore"
