Duplicolor Hi-temp Ceramic Paint
Anyone used this "1200 degree rated paint" on their manifolds? I've seen a few threads discussing the use of the BBQ grill paint on their manifolds, but I was looking for an aluminum look rather then brown (stock) or black (bbq) on my greddy manifold.

I think I used 1600* rated paint (non-ceramic). It started chipping off. There is some ceramic 2-step spray paint for coating manfiolds, that requires backing it in the oven.

I've been reading a lot of good stuff on "Black Satin". It seems to be the best thermal insulated I found and it can be cured in room temperature. It's suggested to use it on the inside and outside to reduce temps. I think it can withstand 2000 degree temps. I'm planning on using this on my downpipe and manifold.

VHT Fireproof will work for ya. You do have to cure it in an oven in several steps to work well.
