Default Ebay Front lip

I have seen a few people running an ebay front lip and most running the Garage Vary lip, how does the ebay lip hold up? Price seems fair enough but then again you get what you pay for, anyone have experience with these?

It was twisted in the box (removed from mold too soon?), but bolted up fine.
I used a bunch of clips to line it up before drilling.

terrible pic to show the invisible front lip... <shrug>

If you've never installed one, the best trick I've found is to "borrow" a bunch of large binder-clips from your workplace and use them to hold it in place while you adjust the fit and drill the holes. 6 or 7 is enough to do the trick.

I'm rocking the cheapest one, scrape it twice errryday on my driveway, bumped it many times while parking too close and it's fine. I also saw a GENUINE GARAGE VARY up close and when new I couldn't tell the difference

Has some scratches now but fine. And yes, it came twisted in the box, bolted up fine, and the GIANT PAPER CLIP sounds like a great idea.

Picture of current state of the lip

I'm sure I could buff the scratches out or something, but like I care?

I looked in my email and the one I have is from "IKON Motoring". It was $115 when I got it, now, apparently, it's $74. lol. I'm sure nothing changed about it either.

One I bought:
MAZDA MIATA MX5 MX-5 GV POLY URETHANE FRONT BUMPER LIP SPOILER BLACK 90-97 | eBay

Same one for sale now:
MAZDA MIATA MX5 MX-5 GV POLY URETHANE FRONT BUMPER LIP SPOILER BLACK 90-97 | eBay

...I should buy another one

It's too bad I can't find anything they make for an NB. Can't find a GV lip for a '99 to save my life. Well without getting raped and no phone call. Not about to spend the cash for a '01-'05 and find it doesn't fit at all.

time for a NB2 front end swap (I think all you need is bumper and headlights)

From some digging around I think I can get away with just doing the bumper and then the headlights later when funds allow. I have a ffeling that won't happen since when people put '01+ headlights in a '99 there is a gap. So the '99 headlights will push into a '01 bumper. Might just live with a lip'less NB for a while. Wish some one had a stock style lip they hated and would trade for something stupid I have in my garage I've hoarded.

On a side note there is a guy in SoCal that might be selling his GV lip, but won't ship.

I've been wanting a lip like a trap lip. But not for trap lip money. Anyone seen anything around? I've looked on eBay and google but haven't found much.

I bought on of the Touge Run ones from FM in the group buy. Looks identical to those above. It took a lot of abuse when my car was lower, and it's held up fine.

I will attest to that. My lip for my NA on my 97 took a road gator (blown semi tire) at 75 head on no issues. It pulled some of the screws out a bit from impact, but a screw driver fixed it seconds. Didn't even pull out far enough to touch pavement and the 97 is pretty low to me. Still can't tell where it hit a year later.
