Default Why is my exhaust so quiet?

I have and enthuza 2.5" budget turbo exhaust with no cat and when I got for a cruise with other turbo miata's my car is so quiet I can't even hear it! I took out the exhaust yesterday to see how it will sound with just a dump pipe and it's ridiculously loud, I'm just trying to find a happy medium. Should I cut my muffler that I have on and replace it with a glass pack?

a quite muffler is a happy muffler.

For $50+shipping I'll send you my 3" rear section utilizing a 5x9x14" magnaflow.

really it would just need one 2.5-3" section. I cut it at the axle.

You guys are gosh darn wimps. Why do you all drive highly modified turbo miatas that you want to be all comfy and quiet?

I love my 3" with resonator and 6" round magnaflow. Drones a bit on the freeway but not that much more than stock.

Word.

Not to mention the stealth factor, except that my loud-*** Tial BOV gives me away, but I do love that sound, and the 'WTF was that noise' looks from the unsuspecting are great. It is a ricer-street-racer magnet though.

But I digress... If you want louder, without being ridiculous, Brain is on the right track.

I actually think puberty is part of the problem. Their pubescence controls them and not the other way around. They haven't mastered it yet.

When I hear a loud car I always think "Dumbass." When I am surprised by a stealthy fast car I think "Holy ****!" It comes down to level of personal sophistication. A car can sound aggressive without being very loud at all. Quiet and aggressive usually means expensive and loud usually means juvenile and cheap.
