ECU settings and the dyno
Just curious.
Is anyone turning off certain settings when headed to the dyno? I know in tunerstudio there is a temp dependent timing retard. It doesn't matter what ECU, chime in with any ECU tips. |
ms3x still using the ideal gas law hard coded?

I won't step foot near a dyno again unless I have all of these working well. If you do, you will have wasted your money. The tune will change drastically with temp. EDIT: On a side note, they need to have a MAT correction table for idle. |
the place i went had a crappy fan setup in front of the car, so i set it so the fans would be on pretty much the whole time

I'm ready to tune spark on the dyno. However, the weather has cooled dramatically (thank God). Something tells me I'd prefer to tune spark on 91 octane when it is 110°. Am I imagining things? Tell me I'm stupid.

I think if you tune while hot, and run a MAT timing retard you are going to be double dipping since the tune should compensate for the heat. I'm hoping more of the experts will chime in. The whole point of this thread is to help people not waste money on dyno time due to their lack of tuning knowledge or lack of knowledge about their ecu parameters. You just can't rely on the dyno operator being an expert in your ecu. |
