500 hp
Sup fellas? im new here from the mustang world i had a 900 hp stang that i sold a while back, (got bored with lol). i just picked up a silver 99 sport that i want to turn into a mans car i want 500 hp so basically im just curious as to what it takes. have any of you guys done this before? whats involved? i was thinking maybe i should swap in a 5.0 or can i make 500 hp with the 4 banger? any help would be great. peace

I swear if one more ratard hops on here claiming to have had an eleventybillion HP mustang and wanting to build a 500hp miata I"m going to organize a Troll raid on the mustang forums.
You do realize these cars weigh roughly 2200lbs right?

Do some reading. Anything is possible if you bleed money.
EDIT: **** it. Call up Fast forward superchargers. I hear they have a 500hp capable setup for the 1.6. Check it out.

Welcome.
500hp is pretty lofty for a BP, but there are a few here that have done it.
Stock motor will take about half that, so be ready for a big, expensive build.
Not sure how common 900hp is in the Mustang world, but for 5.0s that's a LOT I know. High school buddy built one of the few, real, streetable 10sec Mustangs.
Anyhow, you're going to catch flak making that kind of statement with no pics, then turning around and asking a ridiculous newb question without searching and reading a bit.
