F1 Racing Stage 3 clutch? Oh my!
I told you guyz.....OEM type PP and clutchnet 6-puck disc for $170 shipped. not bad.
Interesting, I have that same clutch on my car (installed since last summer) but I don't think mine actually said Clutchnet on it. And yes, it's definitely a stock Exedy replacement PP,
good clutch for up to 220whp or so.

Stage 3 is only 220? I got stage one and its nice, i was thinking to get the stage 3 when i turbo...but 220 wont be enough i was thinking to push 250 think it will slip?
with that pressure plate im pretty sure it will
Fack...hmmm kinda stupid question, what should i go for then?
call that company and ask them if they would sell your clutch alone. if they do then go buy pp from clutchnet.
f1 stage 3 clutch is good to 320hp and 280ft lbs... I was looking at them on ebay even tho on their ad it says they are good til 440hp
hmm... on my auction it said something like 300hp or something. i bet you $50 it will start slipping after around 230 ft/lbs
clutch disk will hold up fine but pressure plate wont |
i wasnt sure which to buy, F1 or the XTD off of ebay, same price but the XTD looks as though it would hold up a little better according to numbers.. dont have them off hand. sorry
i think they are same thing. dont trust any numbers off ebay by the way.
go with f1 since we already know its clutchned disk + exedy pp ;) |
i got an XTR one and i just finished the installation. grabs really nice surprisingly. It looks EXACTLY like the clutchnet one without all the badging. holds up pretty well to the new power.
paid 170 shipped. for that price, im sold. |
i wouldnt run over 200rwtq on them and expect them to hold. like i said OEM PP with a good disc, the disc itself can certainly hold up, but its need a stronger clamping PP to actually hold tons of torque.
For say, 200 to 275 hp, I would run a clutchmasters stage II or III, for more than that, you may want to look into something such as a Bully clutch. It's a Canadian brand that provides exceptional quality for daily drivers/track cars. I have a Bully Stage III clutch and it can handle 300 hp np problem, with stock pedal pressure. Bit pricey though, not like these cheap website brand cluthes you keep talking about.
Yup, bully is good and very expensive like he said 600$ i believe, and there is euro drive they make them for your car a little cheaper then bully and holds up alot of hp cant remember how much, last time i called them was last year.
