Failing Head Gasket? (NA6)

I drained my coolant for a flush and noticed what looks and smells like oil in it. My overflow tank was also empty 😬. It seems like my head gasket is starting to go, but is there anything else that could cause this? Car has never overheated, I'm even running MS2 so I can see the exact coolant temp.
