Fan cycling?
Hello all!
It's pretty hot here in Indiana and I just got done replacing parts to fix a cooling issue. Was just wondering about how long the main cooling fan usually stays on before cycling back off? On my previous vehicles it would take about 30 seconds but on my 95, it can take a while, sometimes upwards of 5 minutes. Is this normal? CX radiator, Mishimoto fans with shroud, factory coolant routing. Thanks! |

It's not time based it's based on the coolant temperature. We can't tell you if it's normal without knowing what temperature the coolant is at when the fan turns on and off.

Mine: 2000 factory ecu, factory routing, factory T-stat, China aluminum rad, stock fans ganged together. Stationary cycle on to off in 80F ambient is between 30 secs to 1 minute at idle.
