fan sensor?
is the sensor on top of the thermostat for the fans, or is that the coolant sensor for the gauge cluster? I'm trying to eliminate as much as I can from the engine bay, and its been bugging me, cause i don't need the fan sensor.
also, does anyone have pictures of their block off plate for the little valve on the inside of the intake manifold? and what do I do with the two coolant lines coming off of it. i know Braniack had a good picture at one point, but I think the link is dead. anything else I can remove for simplicity? I need to look more at that lightweightmiata.com site for ideas. its race only now, but I still need wipers/heater/etc... |
its the thermosensor for the fans. the one of the guage is on the back of the head, next to the one for the ECU

any answer on the intake manifold water valve thingy? I'm going outside now to take it off and make a block off plate, but what do I do with the lines? I think I'm supposed to cap the one that connects to the bottom of the thermostat housing, but what about the one that goes to the throttle body? thanks again everyone

The correct form of questioning should be:
Q: Do you have a girlfriend? A. If yes, do you have nude pictures of her, if no, please post a picture of one of the hotter girls you know. http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/e...99145_7592.jpg Now that we're done with that, on with Hustler's first question. Isn't the IAC valve the that's on the side of the intake manifold? thats the one I removed and plugged with a block off plate. I'm just wondering if I need to put a line from the hose barb on the bottom of the thermostat housing to the throttle body, or if I can just cap those two ports. and once I cap them (if thats what I'm allowed to do) can I unplug that little motor/pump thingy on the bottom of the throttle body. |
