ive used the greddy(i think) one like it.looks just like it but polished aluminum.

$40 is "extra" money? Its worth it for me because of convenience.

turbopezz 02-17-2007 11:14 PM

Regulators that you can get at hardware stores and the like. It always pissed me off that GReddy and Turbonetics sold them as if they where anything other than that. Take a look at the regulator at a Craftman air compressor at Sears and you will see the same boost controller.

MBCs like that are acutally Relief Valves....search online venders for them and you can save $20....this site only seems to be stocking the 1/4" 5-150psi type....personally I'd look for a 1/8" 5-30psi. but you get the idea.

for the ultimate MBC you'd use a relief valve to set boost pressure, then a pressure regulator to ensure no boost spike and that the wastegate stays closed as long as absouletly possible,

Wow, look at how that guy advertises the MBC in your link. I wonder how many people with factory turbo cars buy those and destroy their engines by turning up the boost obscene amounts.

he includes a lot of information about how you can blow your motor up - but I just keep turning up the boost and the car just keeps getting quicker :gay:
