very clean

patsmx5 01-12-2008 12:32 PM

Your hat's on backwards four times. Car looks good. Would look even better with a hardtop.

urgaynknowit 01-12-2008 12:50 PM

ide like one, but i looked at prices and came to this conclusion

1. get a hard top even tho summer is just around the corner?

2. boost is for same amount

number 2 is prevailing

but i will buy a hard top eventually

patsmx5 01-12-2008 12:55 PM

Yea, they ain't cheap. Only reason I got one was my softtop failed me. I had to buy something, the duck-tape wasnt even holding. (you know your shit's wore out when you can't duck it) I found a used one for $900 30 miles from home, so I got it.

Why'd you sell the honda?

Pitlab77 01-12-2008 12:56 PM

like the wheels.

I think they are the same as mine ;)

urgaynknowit 01-12-2008 01:19 PM

Patsmx5 - i sold the honda for multiple reasons, it was swapped so it never ran the same after the swap, it idled funny because of the cams, i i always needed to fix somthing on it
the motor was leaking oil, (from many spots, cam seals, block>????? and oil pan)
it looked bad, rusted, old,
i just wasnt looking foward to replacing everything on it part by part
no matter how much money i spent,
how many name brand parts i got
or how fast it was
at the end of the day,,
it was just a civic...

pitlab77 - rota circuit 8's

kotomile 01-12-2008 02:30 PM

I had a B16-swapped EF before my Miata too :)

Your car is very clean, what sort of headlights are those?

urgaynknowit 01-12-2008 02:41 PM

kotomile - ebay lights,,, cheap like whoa,, easy install, and now house my hid's
they dont leak or anything, they did come with some stupid blue running lights, but i took them out

kotomile 01-12-2008 02:42 PM

How do the HIDs perform with them light output wise?

urgaynknowit 01-12-2008 02:47 PM

kotomile - i blind everyone,
imagine a car with hid,
minus the cut off line
hence the little quote under my user name

ill take pictures tonight if i get a chance

mr_mazda329 01-12-2008 04:34 PM

I have the hid's in my low pros and they rock. I do wish the hella modules had a straight eyelid instead of the stepped one.

Which low pros do you have? Mine are from moss.

Braineack 01-13-2008 01:00 PM

bump for awesomeness.

The Moss ones too. With the 90mm hella projectors. Pic in sig.

Do you have any night pics of your set-up and a pic of engine bay of ballast locations

you can find a hardtop for much less than the cost of boost, if you work hard at it, or are really lucky, or a bit of both.

in the last year I bought OEM hardtops for $250 and $600. craigslist and an ad on the bulletin at work. be the first there, have cash in hand, don't screw around. just avoid the Snugtops. I lost money on that purchase.

the OEM top is sweet. summer is the time to buy, no one wants them then. you might find yourself using just the hardtop and removing the soft. you can cruise sans top on nice summer days and button it up when you feel like it.

urgaynknowit 01-13-2008 08:11 PM

thebeerbaron - sounds like a good idea, ill be looking into craigslist this summer then
