finding an exhaust leak
 
what's a nice and easy way to find an exhaust leak? i have one somewhere on the hot side and i can't find it. should i just run my gas tank low and pour some dino oil in there so i can see it gushing out? :p

Have someone hold the tailpipe with a rag, blocking it and then go around listen for the sound.

you can also seafoam your car and hold the exhaust closed in the back and simply follow the white vapor! (I'm half joking and also half serious.)

Be careful using seafoam when you have your wideband installed. The heavy carbon has muck up your wideband good, sometimes all it takes is a cleaning to fix it but why bother, pull the sensors when using sea foam.

Hence the reason I was 1/2 joking and 1/2 serious. The word Seafoam is like the creeping death for some and liquid gold for others.

I've seafoamed more cars than I can shake a stick at...and not one of them ever had issues with it. Then again, I did RTFM before doing it.
