Hello all,
For the past several days i was busy with replacing my head and head gasket. After i put everything back together, put the oil in, gapped the plugs and calibrated my o2 sensor, the last thing was going to do was to put coolant in and right when i put it in i realized that the nipple that feed coolant to the intake has a hole in it.

So here is the possibility i thought of without redoing the timing belt and removing everything again. And i am wondering if it will work.

I broke off the nipple completely and can push the coolant line all the way into the main nipple and get a splitter that will feed the intake and the turbo.

Is this a bad idea or it should work? I am thinking that the only problem could be that there is not enough flow in one nipple too feed both the intake and the turbo.

blue line is how it usually is and red is what i am preposing.

I just really dont want to redo the timing belt again.

Should be fine! Our you can drille and tap it for a 1/8 NPT and install a T with a 1/8 npt male thread on one end and a hose barb on the other 2. (I've done this before.)

Cool, so the way i pictured it, it should work? Do they sell the T that would split the hose?

I can't see any obvious problem with that. Any auto parts store worth a damn should have that tee - get a brass one.

perfect. I already started tearing the car apart, but did not get as far as taking the belt off, so i might save myself a couple hours of work. Why there is coolant going into the intake anyway?

To warm up the throttle body if it's really cold. Something about ice crystals getting into the throttle body and lodging it closed/open. I capped mine, but I live in an area where there's no snow.

very interesting. Totally makes sense. So if i only drive when it it is work i dont even really need that line?
