FM Extractor hood

Help!
There's a brand new FM extraction hood marooned in Birmingham, Alabama. If you'd like to save $125-175, you can pick it up and avoid any shipping charges or taxes. Please give us a call if you're interested.
Might be a deal for someone.

thats an extractor hood. Extracts air from the engine bay with minimal air intake, helps with radiator and intercooler function by making the engine bay a lower pressure and allowing air to pass more freely past the coolers.

Well, that's definitely interesting, however, where is this listed and what is the contact information?

It's probably still $595, and you 'save' the $125 shipping fee if you can pick it up.
And in the end saves FM from having to pay the shipping from AL to CO

I think i'll do like ben and find and cut up a stock hood before giving them 500+$ for a frigin fiberglass hood.

It probably is still full price, less shipping since that's what they offered. In the end, it probably doesn't save FM anything though.

I would bet they shipped it to a buyer that decided he didn't want it once he got it. Instead of asking him to ship in back and refunding him his purchase price, they offered to post an ad on their site to see if there was another buyer nearby, potentially saving their customer the trouble and expense of returning it.

I really really really doubt FM gives a shit about someone else spending money to ship them something that belongs to them.

This is about FM saving money.

You can see my thread RE: FM's shipping policies in the trader review subforum

I forgot about your experience. I understand your bias now. My experience with FM has always been the opposite. They've sent me free stuff, comp'ed shipping costs when an order was split for their benefit, etc. You feel you were hosed. I've always been treated very well. You're welcome to your opinion and I'll keep mine. No biggie.

Has anyone had any experience with the FM Extraction hood before? Wondering if its worth purchasing theirs over designing one myself....?
