Fuel starving left turns

99, 550cc, and Walbro pump.

Once I get down to 1/2 tank and am hitting any amount of boost while the car is loaded up on the right side I am getting fuel cut. Was thinking surge tank until I realized I need return lines and other stuff above my budget. Couldn't find any type on drop in baffled or something like that.

Anyone have any ideas or systems they are running?

edit: What is strange is it had fuel pick up if I baby it and try to keep it out of max boost. It's just soon as you need the fuel for higher boost there is no gas.

i think you should stop turning left... left is for nascar... Right FTW!!!!

for real though, im surprised it would do that at 1/2 tank... even on a hard right, the fuel should still be at the pickup.
Is your gauge definitely working correctly? and how long are you actually in these superior G-force left turns?

Im really curious about baffling too.. i bet you could make someting to install with plastic weld on a plastic tank. could be a cool project, if that is indeed the problem

T3/6/11 I have fuel pick up issues and as you can see you load the car up on the right for a good amount of time. The gauge is right as the car has not ran out of gas about E. Also the time of day it starts to happen is consistent with when the car would be down the 1/2 tank.

Take your fuel pump hangar out of the tank and take a photo of it so I can tell you exactly how you messed up the fuel pump install. :giggle:

I hope it's that easy. I know I used the mounting holes that let it sit lower in the tank but that's all I changed.

The common problems are with the sock in the tank.

Meaning the mesh peace on the fuel pump correct? What is the problem with them?

Direction and height of the sock upon re installation.
