Honestly it's just too much of a pain in the *** since the car is so low. If I can get the oil for $20 at an autoparts store, or get it done for the same price or a little more then why not just get somebody else to change it and have documentation for when I sell it? I have changed my oil before, and I installed my rollbar among other things. And no, I am never done dicking up.

+1 low car makes it a total pain, but i still do it. Wood blocks + ramps works really well for me for oil changes or stuff that I don't need to remove the wheels.

I have an AC Delco jack & stands set that I picked up at O'Reilly auto parts for like $40 that fits under my car.

Changing your own oil is not just about changing the oil. It's about getting under the car once every 6 months or so. You look at the exhaust and hangers, check for any signs of leaking, loose suspension and just give it a quick inspection.

You really think the $6 an hour monkey that changes your oil at instant lube cares, or even knows waht to look for in the first place? You think he knows to tell you that your ball joint boot is torn?

I reverse bleed everything when dry:

Buoyancy is your friend. I pressurize through the caliper or slave, then force the fluid upward. When bubbles stop popping at the master, you are done.
Then, I suicide bleed from there forward.
