JR fuel pump ?'s
The JR site has changed a whole bunch and they no longer list the pump, does anyone have a link with some info? I checked around but no one seems to have ever used it.
My car came with the JRSC and JR timing controller, I'm hoping they put the JR fuel pump in as well. My fuel pump is LOUD, you can hear it 3 feet away from the outside and inside it's always louder than the music. I'm hoping it is upgraded so I don't have to buy the 190HP. Thanks.
EDIT: I do plan on taking the pump out to visually check it, but if the JR pump isn't strong enough to begin with I won't bother, I will just order the 190HP.

The JR pump is a 255 unit, much too large. Get a 190lph pump, the high pressure unit since it's the same price. I got mine from www.lightningmotorsports.com.

one easy was to check without pulling it is check what fuel pressures you are getting.
the 255 will idle at 40psi and raise to 55psi when you remove the vacuum line.
the 190 will idle at 35psi and raise to 50psi when you remove the vacuum line.
both should reach pressures off 110-130psi when you clamp down on the return line.

Thanks Braineack, I will check my pressure after I get my injectors cleaned. If it is a 255 I'll be mad, but hopefully I can sell it to someone who can use it.
Thanks guys!
On a side note, I just scored some 88 Mazda MX6 Turbo injectors for FREE!! I also snagged the connectors for them. I checked the part number on Witchhunters site and sure enough, 324cc! They are high ohm and should be very simple to put in. The first easy part of this build!
