Are Glowshift Gauges Good?

I bought a LC1 and need a guage to read it. Anyone with experiance using these guages? |
That one looks like it's trying to guess your AFR from a narrow band sensor. Calibrating the LC-1 to match the output that the gauge's designers used (there are several narrow band output curves depending on the sensor temperature) is not going to be easy, to say the least. I'd rather use a 10-bar gauge.

innovate DB gauges can be had for around $50 :hustler:

I got a complete set of gauges from glowshift, wideband, battery and boost. They actually look pretty good. I bought the din tripple cluster and it fit pretty well. I'll try to post pics later. My wideband came complete with the sensor and brain kind of like the AEM for much less.
I have an extra tripple cluster and wideband set brand new if your interested. I don't know how accurate it is because I have yet to run my car after installing the turbo. Still waiting to do my exhaust then I hope to be on the road again. good luck with the ride.. |
ive been using these gauges for a while, and surprisingly, they have a small amount of error. The boost gauge is good enough to tell where you are, and the EGT seems pretty quick reacting through changes.
the AFR is crap, just get a volt reader off ebay and make that work |
I have the boost, EGT, and fuel pressure. Can't complain at all about the prices. Readings are consistent even if i can't speak to their accuracy. The fuel pressure gauge reads the same as the fuel pressure gauge teed off my fuel line. At one point, the fuel pressure sender failed and Glowshift sent me a new sender FOC.

STAY AWAY FROM GLOWSHIFT.
Seriously, they were the worst gauges I ever bought, I don't care what anyone says. My autozone SunPro gauge is better than all of the glow shift gauges I bought combined. Horrible accuracy, between my exhaust and suspension I could never read the needle as it was just bouncing away. To top it off, at the end of the summer a random power draw emerged, for two weeks I couldn't find it for the life of me. Tore the car apart a few times testing EVERYTHING on the car (or so I thought). I kept having to jump my car every time I took it out. Finally found it, it was one of the POS glow shift gauges.... I may be a bit sour, but my advice is to spend a few extra bucks on something else.. |
