GoPro Visor Mount
 

I bought myself a 3D printer recently and have been having all sorts of fun setting it up. I needed to do a test build after a recent hack/rebuild, and ended up making these neat little GoPro mounts. They replace your useless visor so that your GoPro can be mounted upside down & facing out your windshield.

Anyway, I've got 10 extra that I'd like to send out to MTNet members. I take no responsibility for use or quality...they're friggin' free!

Mind posting of the drawing for it? I am working on my 3d printer as we speak and would love to test it out with one of these.

Thingiverse.com is your friend. Type "Miata" in search and check out everything that's available.....LOTS OF STUFF!!! Also check out GrabCAD.com as you can download some of those files to convert to prints as well.

I got a Creality CR-10, which is beyond amazing. 300x300x400 build volume, and downloaded the newest beta version of Cura which had all the presets for the printer already available. Since purchasing I added another Z stepper, cable management, some nice printed covers, larger bed level knobs, and last night I swapped out the loud stock fans for much quieter units and added rubber dampers to the x & y stepper motors. It's much quieter now. I've got extra dampers and other "stuff" if you end up getting one. BTW, they've dropped the price on them to $340 delivered on Gearbest....unbelievable for what's considered the very best inexpensive 3D printer out there.

Nope. No pay, as I'm not even sure how well they'll work. Merry Christmas from me. Just put up some pictures when you're done. You'll need to carefully clean up a bit of the support structure from the part prior to use, but that's it.

OK, everyone shipped today so far, except Mobius. When you install, you need to clean out the 3D printer support structure carefully. Treat it like it's aluminum or some nylon reinforced ABS, and you'll be looking at a broken tang. Sneak up on the tightness--I don't know how tight these things can be tightened before they go TWANG, but I'll bet it's less than the off-the-shelf GoPro stuff. Fair warning.
