Got bored...so I bought some new kick ass wheels.

Well, just a couple of sneak peek pics of the new wheels. Jenn will be taking some better pictures soon

Wheels- Enkei NT03+M 17x7.5 +39 hyperblack finish 16lb each.

And I decided to see what some blue would look like against the titanium. These are my trackslut wheels... Rota SubZero 17x7.5 with 235-40/17 Hankook slicks.
Mmmmmm spraypaint.
I know the middle pic is kinda grainy, but it's simply to reference how wide the tires are.

Damn, why didn't you mention you were wanting some Enkei's?

I'll let you know how much you could have gotten them from me for:

$200/Ea shipped.

I can do the silver ones for $175/Ea Shipped.

And the Hyper Black should be 17X7.5 45offset. The silver have 45 and 40mm offsets. 17lbs each.

That looks pretty kick ass, nice choice.

bryantaylor 10-13-2008 09:05 PM

both sets look damn awesome

Well, TireRack has them for like $180 each ATM in both silver and SBC. But I got them locally for.... ummmmmm.....ummmmmmmabout 50% of what tirerack wants for them shipped..... and they came with new tires to boot. But it's not even about how much they are going for. They just popped up on CL and I couldn't pass them up..... esp. given the fact that i've always wanted a set buy they've always been on the more expensive side of my price range.

Absolutely badass.

Perfect example of where 17s look good.

18psi 10-13-2008 10:53 PM

agreed..those are some nice wheels

JDMAflac 10-13-2008 11:49 PM

What paint was used on the blue wheels?

I second that.

And what prepping?

Looks badass.

BoostCreep 10-14-2008 01:12 AM

That looks friggen hot.

naarleven 10-14-2008 02:01 AM

It would be a dangerous world for my financial situation if I bought wheels everytime I got bored.

Love the NT03's, a lot. I wanted a set, but 17" on a NA equals no thx.

Fireindc 10-14-2008 02:07 AM

Looks great, really digging the 17"s on the nb.

I dunno lol
I just grabbed some med-dark blue paint at Autozone, my intention really wasn't to pretty much match the "Volk mag blue" either, I wanted something brighter but this works.

As for prep, I just wiped the wheels down with a good acidic wheel cleaner and put a good slathering of tire shine on the tires to make overspray come off easier. Oh, and i used note cards between the tire and rim. But I don't sand down and do all thast junk... it's not needed as you can clearly see. It's all in the paint technique.

norrismiata 10-14-2008 01:42 PM

i wish i can just buy some gangsta ass wheels when im bored.. i would have many sets ... LOL

norrismiata 10-14-2008 01:43 PM

btw those enkeis look awesome on your car but i would never imagine getting them until i seen them on your NB... but for some reason digging those blue wheels .. it matches your color or something...

Fireindc 10-14-2008 04:05 PM

Those wheels look better than the blue rotas imo. Btw, your license plate owns.

Nice wheels and car! :bigtu:

I'm going to send you my car to see what you can do with it. :)

BTW, since I'm a foreigner and dumb; what is the meaning of your plate?

Holy balls I just realized that. Checking my DMV now to see how much it would be for my own series of 1's and I's.

Virginia has most of them blocked out so you can't get them. o's an 0's work, 1's and l's t's, etc.

Thanks man!

nicacus 10-14-2008 07:33 PM

I saw an evo with 8's and B's
something like 8B8B8

RotorNutFD3S 10-14-2008 07:36 PM

WWVVWVW works well too. o and 0 will come out 0000000 in most states as they use the same symbol on the plate.

yep, its always a 0, not an o

Scuba_Steve 10-14-2008 07:58 PM

I'm one who believes the 17's are the perfect wheel for an NB based on looks. Very nice.
