Default My new 10AE

Turbo project on hold. I tried to convince myself that my 1990 NA with 145,000 and a keyway issue would suffice for another year while I completed the turbo on my conversion car. In the end I couldn't by the **** I was trying to sell myself, so for 5K I picked up this 10AE with only 80,000 on the clock!!

Very happy that I pulled the trigger on this car, it has a completely different feel from the NA's. Now I am thinking maybe I need a 99 for my conversion! What the hell its only money right?

Yeah I feel it was worth it, here is the bad, it appears that someone was thinking about racing the car then had a change of heart. They pulled the blue carpet out; then must have thrown it away; they replaced it with some cheap *** black automotive grade carpet...for now it is serviceable, and I may go with black factory carpet what do you guys think? The instrument cluster has white gauge faces, are these stock? I am pretty well informed on the NA's but don't know squat about the NB's as far as trim levels go. The car has an engine start switch where the cigarette light should be, no big deal, I don’t smoke, but not stock. The stock air box is missing and an AEM intake lives in its place, I can live with this change. The soft top is gone...good luck finding another blue top in good condition for a fair price. The black plastic trim pieces that are under the hard top striker plates on the side of the car are missing. Finally no washer bottle under the hood, I will need to deal with that as well.

The car is mechanically sound, and drives perfect; I just need to tie up some loose ends on it.

Looks to me, you might want to check into some history of that car..

Those gauge fronts, are primary numbers as K/PH, and the secondary numbers are MPH...

I Might guess the car is origionally from CANADA>.. and that 80K is Kilometers. not Miles on the car. Someone could have found the right way to import a canada car, then re title as amerca, re sell american etc..

EH, could just be a euro gauge swap too... check your MPH to another car.

Thats a very good price for a 50 k mile car...just my thoughts.

Good price nice car, if its got a good title your free and clear.

ENJOY

I will compare to another car, it is 1.8 km to the mile and the odometer seems to be clicking off correctly, but I have not paid real close attention to it to be honest. I will check it on the highway on the way home tonight. The large KPH is taking some getting use to, I pretty much have just been going with the flow of traffic. I was thinking it may be a Canada car as well, I have a good Colorado title on it so it really doesn't matter. If it is reading in KPH on the odometer then it is an even better deal!

Does anyone know a website that will allow me to check the destination of the car based on the 10AE badge number?

What makes you think it was raced or at least partially prepped for race? The soft top being gone? Heck I'd do that to a nice clean NB dd. Saves weight and adds cargo room. Your list of "bad" things is pathetic, that is a nice car. Carpet could have gone bad from a leaky soft top maybe? Might be why both are gone. Also the plastic trim could have been sold with the roll bar they were trimmed for. Check under the carpet or in the trunk for drilled holes.

I just posted a reply to your thread on m-net, great looking car.

If you are looking for a turbo, I may have a deal for you this fall. I have a full FMII kit in my '01 including Hydra and 3" exhaust. I'm having an LS3 put in this fall and the turbo will be available. Moreover, you could easily drive to FM at Grand Junction to pick it up.

You have lots of time to think about it

Thanks, I will do that, I have a full black set I am thinking about running, I kind of like the contrast between the blue floor mats and the black carpet. However the car should have blue carpet in it.

**** you you ******* assfuck ****. I hope you die and rot in hell and then are born again and ******* die again slowly and painfully while I **** you in the face with my salami and then you die again and arggghhh

I'm overwhelmed by hatred for you. Your car. So pretty. Boost it please put rx-7 badges on there because the NB with a hardtop really does look like an RX7.

glad you approve. Seriously, I am really happy with the purchase. I better be, as I spent my turbo money on the car

By the way, that is a very nice looking car you are sporting as well
