gracing shifter
Anyone here running the gracing shifter? How is it compared to the stock shifter I read short shifters are bad for your trans blah blah but cant verify if that is true

I ran one of his previous versions about a year back. The no-bushing design gives some very precise shifts and zero slop, however with the different fulcrum, there was definitely additional effort to shift. Made for some pretty wicked short/quick shifts. I ended getting a different shifter however since the synchros couldn't keep up if you tried to shift quickly. Definitely would take some years off a trans imo. Would be better suited for a track car.

Correct. If shifted slowly or normally, I imagine it would last just as long. I just felt the synchros would wear a bit faster during quick shifting since they couldn't keep up with the speed of the shifts. Didn't see much of a point in having a short shifter that I couldn't fully utilize so I sold it. Never developed grinds or anything of that sort though.
