Default Any good clutches available on Ebay?

Hey guys, my wife's Miata's throw out bearing just started to make some noise, just wondering if anyone has managed to buy some time by accessing the bearing somehow and spraying with oil? (Yeah I know I was just hoping) If not, then are there any good clutches on Ebay or should I just go with OEM?

Thanks,

P.S. Yes, I posted a similar post on M.net

Do you have a turbo?

I just bought a Stage 3 XTD clutch and it is installed. Let me be the first to say that, that was the BEST $160 I have spent yet! It is AWESOME (@195whp), I think the stage 3 is good til 260whp

I will second that XTD clutch stageIII. good clutch. It took a little break in time, but now its very solid, and a very direct feel. It is a little choppy, ON OFF feel to it. Took getting used to. Holds power well.. If your stock, and not planning on adding power, Go with the cheapie Ebay kits. Everything needed. I got one thru eclutchmasters.com one time. Worked great . Felt stock. Great price.

I'll add my usual review of the XTD. I've got a stage 4 PP and stage 3 disc on my Talon. It's nice, because the stage 4 disc is a good step up on pressure compared to the 1-3 plates. It's held power well, but after 15k miles the fingers on the PP are somewhat worn and the friction material is more worn that I'd like to see. If you want something that will take some power and abuse I think it's a fine kit, but if longevity is a concern I would go with a name brand.

the problem with the XTD and F1 Stage III and the reason they are so cheap is because it's utilizing a stock pressure plate. So you might get a nice 4 or 6-puck disc (F1 uses clutchnet), but you still have no extra clamping force.

In Blue's case, I'm assuming he wants a clutch for his wife's miata, I would not recommend a pucked clutch for a DD non-turbo miata. Any cheap *** street disc will suffice for this purpose.

Also, for the same reason, I never tell people to go with the ebay stuff, because, you might have a good disc, but again, you dont get a great PP, which IMHO is more important.

My summer car is almost turbo'd, just need a few small things...this is for my wifes car which is stock engine wise...
I will keep the XTD stage 3 in mind for my ride once she is running with the turbo.

Huh? I'm looking at an ebay auction for the XTD Stage III and it says it comes with a PP with extra clamping...is this not true?

I just looked on ebay and they do not seem to have a stage 4 for the miata. That is what I purchased for the same price as a stage 3. It had a 2,300lb pressure plate for the same price. I'm thinking the cost savings is in chinese construction and materials.
