Default Has anyone purchases from Onlinemazdaparts.com recently?!

Just curious if anyone has ordered through their site recently. I placed an order last week. Their order status page tells me its "Processing" still... I was under the impression that most ordered shipped next day.

I placed an order Thursday 7/17 at 8am , parts i needed for a shifter rebuild ( currently torn apart, just waiting on these parts ) Since then I have sent them a message through their site, tried emailing ( get an automated response back telling me to use their website ) , and called maybe 4-5 times after leaving a message the first time, with no response whatsoever....

They haven't charged me yet, which is fine, but i really want to know whats going on and I'm on the verge of just cancelling my order and ordering elsewhere.

This comes as somewhat of a surprise to me, after reading many great reviews on other forums etc.

Anyone have this problem before, or is this a new occurrence?

thats what im thinking.... i tried out this place because i read many good reviews, and the price was about $20 cheaper than rosenthal! ( ~$93 vs $71 shipped)

However, in retrospect, if i had known it was going to take this long i would have just spent the extra money to avoid the inconvenience!

I had a similar problem when waiting for a bunch of coolant hoses and interior clips more than 2 years ago. I didn't call or anything, as I was ordering parts a long time in advance. They shipped my order in like 10 days or something retarded like that, but didn't communicate with me about it at all. Wasn't a big deal for me, but I didn't like it because I could have needed those parts. IMO I think a business should either ship in 2 business days, or give a ETA to the shipping day. No communication=bad business practice.

If you want price and performance, next time try mazda-parts.com with the part numbers you need. Its always been faster and cheaper. A couple of years ago I put a large random sample of parts in my cart for several mazda parts websites, and printed the invoices and compared. On ~$1000 worth of parts, mazda-parts was nearly $100 cheaper than the next company, and pretty much every line-item was cheaper. I have placed several orders with them, and they haven't disappointed me yet. The only thing cheaper is ordering through Mazdaspeed, but I don't have access because I am not a racer(yet). Also, you can paste in like 50 part numbers into one box, they all pull up with prices, and everytime you add one to your cart, the website doesn't redirect you, making it ultra fast.

Hope this helps.

I opened an "account" with them years ago and bought some widgets and had the same experience. The parts eventually showed up but there was no indication that they had ever shipped.

I've forgotten the password I used when I created an account on the website, and I've tried to reset it about a dozen times now to no effect. I eventually gave up and just use Rosenthal for everything though I do still use these guys for their parts diagrams and confirming part numbers.

For parts diagrams and confirming part numbers, I use jimellismazdaparts.com, go take a look if you can. Their diagrams are the best I have seen, and display much more hardware than other parts websites. Somewhere, they got much better diagrams, not sure how they did it.

And your point is? Members are free to ask questions about online shops that are not vendors. Mazdaspeed is not a vendor and gets recommended daily for parts, same with Rosenthal Mazda. Vendors are here on mt.net so that they can personally advertise, offer support, and respond to member complaints or compliments. If onlinemazdaparts creates an account and comes and starts responding to this thread then they will need vendor status. As long as it is just users discussing then it is more then fine.

Hey im here basically promoting site sponsors! I am encouraging members to NOT use this source.

I was foolishly enticed by slightly cheaper prices, and now i am "paying" for it.

I would also like to add, that im even more mad now, because im ready to go ahead and order through Rosenthal instead, however there is no option to cancel the order on their site and i still cant get a hold of anyone over there! grrr

For those of us who are weak and still purchasing factory mazda parts, I choose to use the cheapest source available. Cheap factory parts are much better than poorly made aftermarket parts. I don't think we stepped over the line on this one.

If I need some inconel man-studs for a turbo, a mammoth twin core radiator, or maybe even a TSE turbo kit we all know where to look.

Just wanted to update. Ive called everyday, still have no response. Already ordered my parts from elsewhere and they have already shipped lol.

And this may or may not be related, and im very curious at this point: My bank contacted me the other day notifying me that my credit card information was being used in Alabama ( fraud) . Some asshat went on a $1,000 spending spree.

Now i know this kind of **** happens, but the reason i may think it might not be a coincidence, is that Ive only just opened this credit card account maybe a month ago, and have literally only used my card a few times since now, mainly for gas and a couple restaurants. The only purchases i made online using it were at 949 racing, and at this onlinemazdaparts.com

Not pointing any fingers, but its awfully suspicious in my opinion no?

Its mildly suspicious, but honestly gas stations, ATMs, and restaurants are very common places for credit card skimming devices, used by scammers to obtain your credit card info.

Sorry to hear about all of this, is your bank going to take care of all of the fraudulent charges?

Mine got swiped once and used to buy diesel in California. I am fairly certain it was a pizza place, since I never used them before or since, and the other places I went to have been fine. Pay cash for pizza and certainly don't give your card # over the phone.

My card data got jacked when Midwest Supplies had their breach. My entire checking account got cleaned out and started overdrafting from my savings... while I was on my honeymoon.

If a vendor doesn't accept Paypal, I don't buy from them online. Period.

I'm curious to see if OMP actually ships your parts or not.

Yeah fortunately the credit card company actually contacted ME first, and they were great about it, didnt ask me too many questions which probably meant they were already pretty sure they were fraudulent charges. Considering I had trasactions dated that same day here in PA haha.

Wow that sounds like a total buzzkill! Sorry to hear about that! Hopefully you got everything sorted out though!

Ironically my credit card is through Paypal!! lol . And yes I always prefer to use paypal when possible.

I am wondering the same thing, if i ever relieve them, ill have an extra set so Ill probably end up selling them on here for what I bought them for , and ill promise to ship them in a reasonable amount of time! lol

I had great success ordering from OMP for years. Haven't bought anything recently, if I remember correctly the guy who used to run it for the dealership left. I think the dealership still keeps it going, but that could explain them being much less customer friendly now than they were a few years ago.

That would make sense, I remember hearing the name "Jason" being used before under the good reviews I had read previously...

It appears from that the site, some genuine fella' names Preston is running ( rather "not running" ) the show these days.

Just wanted to report a duplicate experience. Placed an order with onlinemazdaparts.com on 7/20/14. The status never changed from "Processing". I've had no response from them other than the emailed order confirmation and a confirmation that one of my messages submitted on the website was received. I've called and submitted messages several times. All of my requests for an update have had no response. I won't use them again.
