Has anyone else seen this Miata?
 

Saw this car a few weeks ago on craigslist and then saw it in person yesterday on my way home. I like it, the wheels are to big but other than that the car is awesome.

$20K is quite price for an '91 regardless of what's under the hood.

Your .jpg doesn't work, but I know where you are going with it. I had an RX7. The "small" rebuild kit for them is around $1000 for the motor. That is why I picked up LOLA and got rid of the RX7. Plus, the RX7 eats fuel and oil like it's candy.

When I clicked the craigslist link my eyes saw $2000, not $20000. I was ready to go pick it up, until I focused in on that extra "0". Definitely a sweet car, but not worth the money IMO.

I think it might be a case of the owner thinking mods directly transfer over to it's value. Does look cool though, wonder how it handles being that low.

Or maybe he's asking too much the first time around on the off chance it hits somebody just right with $20k to burn. Seems odd not to post a dyno sheet in an ad for a car like that. :bang:

Well he did post the hp/lb ratio. But you'd have to know what it weighed. 2400 lbs? Then it's what, about 350 whp?

he posted on m.net about it a few weeks ago about buying it. car has a long history of being modded and never driven.

I saw that car on ebay sometime ago when much less of the work had been done. The motor was in and running, but needed tuning, the wide body was on but no paint and the interior was...well, not there. Damn good looking car though.

If i had that much extra cash laying around, i'd probably offer $15k for it :) I know of a friend who has a build 13B that put down 450rwhp on a FD before he sold the FD.....
