Default 1.6 f1 stage 3 clutch/flywheel + 6 speed 1.8 woes

so yea thats the setup.

anyone remember having any funny issues when doing this... ive read alot of people doing it without any issues but right now my clutch wont fully dis engage.

*fluid is good
*no leaks in slave or master cyl
*played with the adjustments in the car....i dont think they really do anything as far as clutch fork travel.
*i also tried adding 2 small washers to the end of the slave cylinder rod to no avail.

ideas? besides pull tranny and get a proper 1.8 clutch

The F1s are known to have problems disengaging... at least the lower level kits. Not sure about the stage 3. It's quite possibly just a bad clutch; it happens when you buy ebay parts.

Still, before you make any assumptions, bleed the system, check the slave, check for anything that could cause it besides the clutch being bad.

Did you check the clutch rod? It could be that it just needs an adjustment.
nevermind, saw that you did that.

just bought a new slave and clutch line (curly q delete kind)

hmmm....well yea i kinda feel stupid now for not searching, found a few reviews of people having disengage issues. i lucked out before with a ebay clutch i figured id get a good one again.

**** man i still dont have much money to throw at another ******* clutch/flywheel....im not really sure if i want to even take a chance i feel as if i should just get 1.8 parts and call it a day but then again i really liked how the car revved with the lighter flywheel and i dont want a o.e spec clutch..not even sure if i should take a chance and just replace the clutch with a good 1.6 clutch and pp or just replace the whole shabang....UGGHHHHHH

i have a f1 clutch thats not giving me problems. I hope it lasts long enough to get my moneys worth. if it craps out im gona spend the extra and buy a proven reliable clutch. i dont suggest getting a f1 second time around. eventually you'll end up saying dam i could have just bought a fm clutch.
