Headlight Bulbs and Headlight Lenses

Hey I was wondering what type of bulbs a 1999 uses, I wanted to replace mine with Xeon lights.

Also, what do you do if one of your headlights are very... not dirty.. like foggy? There a way to clean that up so it's clear again?

this will end well.

Use a finishing compound to remove the "fog" from the outside of your headlight lense. Anything else will scratch it terribly. You can even use high fluoride toothpaste, it has enough grit in it to polish it out to clear again.
I had to do that to both of mine.

99/00s can use a H4 bulb.

You have a PM BTW.

get the osram silverstars (NOT sylvania bling crap) or phillips visionplus bulbs. they'll give you more light.

If the lenses are plastic check out Meguiars ScratchX. You can get it at any autoparts store. It should clean them up pretty easily.

They also make PlastX. It's made for polishing clear plastic, I had to use it on my MX-3.

I'm running the OSRAM Silverstars on my 99 right now and I also have a set of Sylvania XtraVision that the SS replaced. They are both so close in brightness, I can't see spending any more money for Silverstars no matter if they are Osrams or Sylvania.

A local paint shop, lightly sanded the plastic headlight "glass" with a scotch bright pad and re-clear coated them. Look like new again. Didn't cost much.
